The LoneStar Meteor. Just... look at it. Even the engine cover.

I wonder if there’s some USCG exemption for the taillights on the tailfins, I could see that causing confusion on a waterway at night.

There’s definitely not anywhere for a rear light pole, but it does have the red/green nose light, so clearly they thought it would run at night. Oh, and it of course has fucking
headlights,
so there’s that. You may also have noticed that the massive “ain’t care” of this boat extends to a lot of things. Like, having the driving position on the left instead of the right, for one.

Must have depended on trim level of the model - the one up top has the wheel on the right, on the bottom it’s on the left.
“It’s the model built before USCG regulations, so it’ll run good with headlights and taillights...”

the engine looks like a giant, exagerated, 50’s mixer which is kinda awesome

The change must have been in ‘57. Here’s another one (‘56) with horns on the front, also in that color scheme, and below is a ‘57:
Another ‘56:
‘57:
‘58:
The main photo appears to have the “lip” seen on the ‘57 and ‘58 and not the others.

If this is towed by anything other than a mid 50’s GM product, it should be considered an affront to all that America stands for.

Okay, a history lesson on the Lonestar boats. Neat! Kind of looks like they got their inspiration from Cadillac:
Or maybe vice-versa?
Here’s a ‘57 El Dorado:
Either way, those boats are nice.

Is the ‘57 Ford allowed on an eyebrows technicality?
Best overall match, I’m not sure yet, though a ‘55 Pontiac Prestige is a contender:

All things considered, probably most rooted in the ‘55 Series 62s.

Only if 2-tone Skyliner.
You’re close on Pontiac, but I’d go with a Star Chief:
